Baldur’s Gate 3is a massive RPG filled with all kinds of secrets to discover. Act 3 ups the ante as you and your party finally reach the titular city of Baldur’s Gate. The city is even larger than the first two sections of the game. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but with time you will learn the streets and underbelly of the city through exploration.
Gortash is introduced asa primary antagonistic force at the end of Act Two. He has established himself as the Duke of the city and placed the powerful Steel Watchers around the city as his guard. It’s very easy to miss that both of his parents are alive and live in the Lower City. you may find them in their family store and learn more about the cruel tyrant’s backstory. This guide will contain some possible spoilers.
Flymm’s Cobblers Location
The store you’re looking for is called Flymm’s Cobblers. you may find it at coordinates(X:-36,Y:-111.)It’s near the small bridge to the south of the Stormshore armory. Continue around the building towards the back to find the entrance. The nearest fast travel point is the Lower City Central Wall.
Sally and Dravo Flymm work as humble cobblersin the Lower City.Speak to them, and you will get a sense that something is very wrong. Pass theDetect Thoughtscheck on Dravo to find his mind and thoughts empty. Do the same with Sally to really speak with her telepathically. Gortash has placedparasitesin both of his parents, leaving them helpless puppets. you’re able to learn from Sally that they sold Gortash when he was young for gold.
Decide Their Fate
Whether you decide to kill Gortash’s parents is up to you. Even if you defeat Gortash, they will still be trapped as puppets in their own home. Close the door if you want to put them out of their misery, so as not toalert any civilians or guards.They will go down quickly and each of them will give you a Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen.
Loot Gortash’s Chest
Sally Flymm hasGortash’s ChestKey on her person. you’re able to loot it off her corpse or pickpocket it from her.
Headupstairsto find the chest that this key opens. It will contain a book revealing the early stages of the three antagonists' plans. It will also point the party inthe direction of Helsikif they are unaware of her.
