Ever since its release a couple of weeks ago,Assassin’s Creed Valhallahas received mostlyfavorable reviews from fans and critics. Recently, Ubisoft released the details ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’sPatch 1.0.4, which is set to release on November 26 and will add several quality-of-life updates alongside the addition of two new modes that will utilize the power of next-generation consoles.
According to the latest patch notes, Ubisoft is adding an option allowing next-gen console players to switch between performance and graphics modes. In performance mode, the game will adapt to whatever setting is required to maintain a steady 60 FPS. On the other hand, the graphics mode, which is being called “quality mode,” will runAssassin’s Creed Valhallaon the highest resolution possible while targeting 30 FPS. At the moment, Ubisoft confirmed that these options will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

Apart from the performance and graphics modes,the latestAssasssin’s Creed Valhallaupdatewill also bring fixes to the numerous bugs and glitches that have been identified in the game already. In its patch notes, Ubisoft revealed that the update is introducing changes in the save UI, a labeling system to cloud saves, and notifications when save files cannot be retrieved. It is worth remembering that ever sinceAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’srelease, players have been reporting problems with what appears to be a bug that is corrupting their save data. This problem doesn’t appear to be isolated on a single platform, and it is also shared byWatch Dogs Legion.
In a statement released last week, Ubisoft revealed that it has identified the corrupted save problem inAssassin’s Creed Valhallaand a patch to fix the problem will be released soon. However, Patch 1.0.4 did not specify a fix for this problem in the patch notes, so it still remains to be seen whether or not the update will solve this problem. Unfortunately for other Ubisoft game players, it appears thattheWatch Dogs Legionsave problemwill continue to linger until next month, given that the official Twitter account for the game confirmed that Ubisoft is “aiming to have a patch in early December.”
