Assassin’s Creed Valhallahas received numerous updates since its launch that have brought a variety of improvements and new features to the series' Viking-themed entry. Thankfully,Assassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers won’t have much longer to wait for the game’s newest update.
It was recently announced that theAssassin’s Creed Valhalladevelopers would be slowing down the pace of updatesto ensure that they launch with higher quality. The announcement was welcomed by fans who have had various complaints with updates adding more bugs and issues to the game despite removing older ones. Despite the announcement of the slower release rate, players will be able to download Patch 1.2.1 tomorrow.

The biggest addition of the update comes in the form of three new skills. The first, Cold Rage, allows players to ignore hit interruptions while performing a string of melee attacks. Eye of the North prevents players from flinching when hit while aiming with their bow, while Intense Rage ignores hit interruptions while performing an off-hand parry or special attack. While not groundbreaking skills, the additions should satisfy players who have been a little too annoyed with pesky enemies interrupting them during combat. The update also does add support forAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s upcomingWrath of the DruidsDLC, although players will have to download an additional update on launch day.
Patch 1.2.1 also implemented a variety of small gameplay improvements, such as allowing players to toggle the cinematic camera during finisher moves, adding in missing fish species, and allowing Bayek’s and Altair’s outfit appearance to apply to other armors through the game’s Transmog system. The update also addresses a litany of bugs, issues, and glitched trophies across seemingly every feature of the game.Assassin’s Creed Valhallamaintained its position as one of the best-selling games last month, so the update should hopefully solve any issues its many players have been experiencing.
WhileAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s first DLC hasn’t even released yet, this recent update and everything known aboutWrath of the Druidspoints to a very promising future for the title. Hopefully, Ubisoft will see its plan to slow down its patch release schedule lead to the patches being more polished than they have been thus far and will lead toAssassin’s Creed Valhalla’s future expansionslaunching in a good state as well. Of course, there is no way to know until it all releases, but at leastAssassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers have consistent patches to keep them busy until then.
