One of the manythings players loved about this gameis its incredible visuals. TheAssassin’s Creedgames have always prevailed when it comes to making their worlds as gorgeous and alive as possible.Assassin’s Creed Valhallais no different. There are a ton of areas in the game anyone can spend hours on for its views, mysteries, challenges, and rewards.
10The Present
While theAssassin’s Creedgames are known for their fascinating depictions ofreal-life historical events, they have also interwoven stories that are sent in the present era. The present-day area inAssassin’s Creed Valhallais arguably better than its recent predecessors for its more decent narrative, callbacks to the previous games, and significance to the series' story as a whole.
The present-day story ofAssassin’s Creed Valhallabrought the return of fan favorites Shaun Hastings and Rebecca Crane. The players are also treated with a cameo fromDesmond Mileshimself.

9The Lerion Estate
The Lerion Estate is one of the most secret locations in the game. The estate itself is not the only reason why this area is great, but also what the player has to do in order to gain access to it. In order to open the estate, the player must first defeat the three daughters of Lerion, and each of those boss areas is absolutely mindblowing.
These boss battles aren’t exactly easy either. The daughters are tough and their level is high so the player must verify they’re strong enough to complete this task. At the end of it all is afantastic armor setthat will make the journey even more worthwhile.

8The Excalibur’s Stonehenge
The Excalibur is one of the best swords the player can acquire inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. Getting to will take time and effort, but that’s understandable given that the reward is the legendary sword of King Arthur.

The prerequisites for getting the Excalibur involve a lot of cave-exploring and zealot-killing until they are finally led to a Stonehenge at Hamtunscire. The Excalibur is waiting here embedded on a stone, waiting for its rightful wielder.
7Vinland
Vinland is the furthest area Eivor can travel to inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, but he must reach this land to slay a mortal enemy. Aside from that task, this area is also very awesome for its distinctiveness. It is so different from the rest of the game and it also holds a ton of mysteries.
As the players know from the beginning of the game, Vinland will ultimately be Eivor’s final resting place, which makes the area even more significant.

6Ravensthorpe
One of the best locations in the game is none other than the home of the Raven Clan. As amazing as the world ofAssassin’s Creed Valhallais, Raventhorpe will remind players that there is indeed no place like home.
This settlement will eventually flourish more and more based on the efforts of Eivor, so its growth will literally rely on the fruits of the player’s labor. This means the more someone works, the better the settlement will be, making the endeavor so rewarding.

5Jotunheim
Jotunheim is the second place that players can visit after drinking Valka’s concoction. This place is more of a manifestation of Eivor’s memories of her past life mixed with her existing religious beliefs, but the area itself is highly enigmatic and gorgeous.
Players will meet a handful of interesting characters while in Jotunheim, who will eventually turn out to be people they’ve already met before in priorAssassin’s Creedgames.

4Valhalla
Valhalla is a “place” the player will be able to visit during the most final moments of the game. While the place itself is more of a concept rather than a concrete location, its significance to the story and overall design makes the location so much better than most.

Due to it being tied to the main story, the things that happen to Eivor while she’s in Valhalla ultimately make the area more memorable.
3Northumbria
Northumbria and the Eurvicscire Region inAssassin’s CreedValhallaare undoubtedly one of the game’s best locations for a handful of reasons. For one, the Eurvicscire Arc is one of the best in the game, the region itself holds generous rewards, and it introduces the players to more interesting side characters.
Fans of Viking history and medieval fiction will also find this place almost familiar for its atmosphere and design. The introduction of Halfdan Ragnarsson and the story that revolves around him also makes the location so much better.

2Hordafylke
The story ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, or at least, its main campaign, ends right where it began: back home. At the end of the game’s story, Eivor and Sigurd return to Norway and they eventually make their way to Hordafylke.
As it turns out, this place hides an Isu Temple. Sigurd refers to this location as the entrance to Valhalla. This is also where the player can find Gungnir, also known as Odin’s Spear, one of thebest weapons in the game.

1Asgard
The best location inAssassin’s Creed Valhallais arguably the home of the gods itself, Asgard. Asgard is such a gorgeously-designed location that it almost feels like it belongs in a post-launch DLC. The narrative that occurs in Asgard isn’t the best this game offers, but its implications to the story of the series as a whole are grand and significant.
The player is also given the chance to play as Odin himself as he travels around Asgard interacting with other gods, fighting Jotuns, as he attempts to escape his fate.
