Throughout theAssassin’s Creedseries, there have been a number of trailers that have cemented themselves in the minds of players. One of the more memorable of these was theAssassin’s Creed 3trailer that saw the new main character, Connor, at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Recently, a fan of the series re-sounded that famous trailer and brought a new feel to the now 9 year old game.
Assassin’s Creed 3was released in 2012and brought players to North America during the American Revolution with a new character. The cinematic trailer for this game has accumulated tens of millions of views to this point. For this particular project, re-sounding the trailer likely meant removing and adding back in the original sounds as well as layering in the new mix of beats.

This re-sound for theAssassin’s Creed 3trailer was done by Reddit user LUkEdbz and it gives it a slightly different feel to the event than the original. The video follows a similar path as Connor makes his way through the Revolutionary Army lines and charges towards the British forces. The sounds are crisp at the beginning of the clip and those listening can hear each movement and contact the characters make. The voices are clear and the background music should remind players of the original trailer. This all changes as the remixed portion of the trailer truly kicks in as Connor makes his way into the British position on the hill.
The original trailer’s music has become iconic within theAssassin’s Creedcommunity and it is quite the hill to climb for those looking to make remixes. That being said, LUkEdbz adds a new layer to the trailer and gives it a different sound. Though the project is not flawless and the remix can be a bit garbled, the time put in on this project shows. And the remix, without the character’s words, chooses to emphasize the action of the moment more than therevolution aspect of the originalAssassin’s Creed 3trailer.
The cinematic trailer forAssassin’s Creed 3is one of the bestin the entire series and attempting a re-sound is a tall task. TheAssassin’s Creedseries has even had concerts soley based around some of the more memorable songs from its games. While this attempt adds something new to the nearly decade-old trailer, it may not land well with some of the members of the community.
But there is always room for expression when it comes to fan tributes and dedications. And LUkEdbz certainly has created something new out of theAssassin’s Creed 3trailer. Regardless of how fans of the series feel, this creation should remind everyone ofa memorable moment in theAssassin’s Creedseries.
