APokemonfan has designed evolutions for six Pokemon in the franchise that many agree deserve a new evolution. One of the main gameplay features in thePokemonfranchise is evolving one’s Pokemon into a new creature so that they can become more powerful. There are many ways to evolve Pokemon in the variousPokemonvideo games, though the most common method is leveling up and earning XP.
Most Pokemon evolve by simply earning XP, but some evolutions are a little more complicated. Since the very firstPokemongames, there have been unique evolutions tied to stones or trades, while later games introduced Pokemon that could only be evolved at certain times of day or after other specific requirements were met. Despite all these different ways toevolve Pokemon in thePokemongames, there are still some creatures that are without evolutions.

Artist and Reddit user HijinksHandbook has addressed this by designing new evolutions for six different Pokemon that currently lack them as ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Their designs give Shuckle, Tropius, Sableye, Seviper, Zangoose, andTorkoalnew evolutions, with many agreeing that these would all be welcome additions to thePokemoncanon, if the reaction to the Reddit post is any indication. The post has amassed over 12,000 likes at the time of this writing, with manyPokemonfans impressed by the designs.
None of these Pokemon have proper evolutions, but Sableye does have a Mega Evolution at least. InPokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, players can get their hands on the Sablenite item, which in turn makes it possible for Sableye to become Mega Sableye.Mega Evolutions are only temporary, though, so it makes sense that fans of the Pokemon would still want to see it get a proper evolution at some point down the line.
There’s always the possibility that these Pokemon could get evolutions or even pre-evolutions. It’s not uncommon for a newPokemongeneration to introduce new forms for previously-existing Pokemon, and so there’s always the chance this could happen for these six creatures. If this ever does happen, it will be interesting to see if any of the designs are close to these drawings. TheGeneration 10Pokemongameshave not been announced just yet, so fans may be waiting quite a long time to find out.
