There are many notable new game releases coming in April 2024, but April 26 is a particularly concentrated day that will see the launch of multiple new games at once. This happened just recently,on March 22. On that day, gamers had to choose between Capcom’s critically-acclaimedDragon’s Dogma 2, the colorful Switch exclusivePrincess Peach: Showtime, and the open world action-RPGRise of the Ronin. Now that the dust has settled, all three of those games seem to have been sales successes, thoughDragon’s Dogma 2came out as the highest-rated game of the three.
It will be interesting which April 26 game comes out on top, with five notable titles all set to release on that day.Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Sweep the Board, a party game based on the popularDemon Slayeranime series, will be released for the Nintendo Switch on April 26, alongside the medieval strategy gameManor Lords, which is coming to PC Game Pass on day one of its release. Those titles will be joined by action-RPGSand Land, based on the Akira Toriyama franchise of the same name, the over-the-top action gameStellar Blade, andtennis gameTopSpin 2K25.
New Game Releases Coming April 26
Out of these, there are two that stand out as particularly noteworthy.Sand Landfeatures a striking cel-shaded art styleand unique vehicular exploration mechanics.Sand Landitself hasn’t been given near the same amount of attention as Toriyama’sDragon Ballover the years, and so it’s also exciting to see some of the legendary creator’s other work get some much-deserved time in the spotlight.
Stellar Blade, meanwhile, has been incredibly impressive so far. TheStellar Bladedemohas been met with a great deal of enthusiasm from fans, as many have come away impressed with the game’s heart-pounding combat. Time will tell if the full product lives up to the hype, but fans will find out later this month.
Of course, that’s not to discount the other three games that are releasing on April 26. All three of them could very well turn out to be incredible games in their own right. With a variety of games of different genres releasing that day, gamers should be sure to mark April 26 on their calendars.
