Summary

Respawn Entertainment has made a statement promising to revert the controversial changes to the Battle Pass inApex Legendsthat were announced at the start of this month. Going forward, Battle Passes inApex Legendswill remain purchasable for 950 Apex Coins like they always have been.

The change to the Battle Pass system was set to launch with Season 22 ofApex Legends, and made it so the Battle Pass could only be purchased with real money, as opposed to in-game currency. As well as this, there would be two Battle Passes per season, that were shorter but offered the same amount of rewards. This change was cited as being intended to make the Battle Pass more affordable for players, but by removing the option to spend Apex Coins, this change would have the opposite effect. The community was quick to point this out, asthe inability to use Apex Coins punished long-time players ofApex Legends. Just over two weeks after the initial reveal, Respawn has come forward, acknowledging the feedback given and promising changes for the launch of Season 22.
