Every new season ofApex Legendsintroduces a handful of new bugs and glitches, most of which are often harmless.Apex Legendsseason 14 seems to a mixed bag of harmful and mostly harmless bugs though. For example, theApex Legendsbug that saw characters loading in with the wrong abilitieswas no doubt harmful, but the supply bin bug that allowed fans to get more loot was, more or less, harmless.

For context, it was discovered about a week or so that supply bins up against a wall could be closed and re-opened, with it containing even more loot than before. This mostly works with blue supply bins, and it was also unreliable. It wouldn’t always result in moreloot forApex Legendsplayers, and obviously, it could eat up a lot of time. However, players have learned a way to take this mostly harmless glitch and turn it into a huge, unfair gameplay advantage.

Hiding in Supply Bins Hurts All Aspects of Apex Legends

Apex Legendsplayers have found a way to hide inside the supply binsas it closes, meaning when someone walks up unexpecting and opens the loot bin, they can be immediately jumped by two or more other players. Fans can see the bug in actionHERE(WARNING: Video contains profanity). Obviously, this previously mostly harmless glitch has become a huge problem, especially if begins to spread around the community. As many fans know, it’s important to always stay aware inApex Legends, but unless someone is in the midst of a firefight, one moment they slow down is opening a bin. It allows a player to pick up the right attachments, consider their kit, and swap weapons if need be. The moment fans can take a breather is not a moment fans should get jumped.

At the same time, it’s even worse if someone is looting quickly in the midst of anApex Legendsfirefight. Getting third-partiedis part of the game, it happens, but getting third-partied this way is the absolute worst and most unfair way it can happen. It’s not even about not recovering quick enough; it’s being denied the opportunity for any RNG luck.

With as fast as this bug has spread online,Respawn Entertainmentis likely aware of it and is hopefully already working on a fix since it’s the same glitch but used maliciously. Fans should hopefully hear more about it soon, but until then, it may be wise to exercise extra caution when looting up inApex Legends.

Apex Legendsis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
