One of the challenges posed to players inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsis to design the best home possible. In order to help players achieve this goal, the game includes the Happy Home Academy (HHA) run by Lyle. This in-game housing association inspects the houses of players on a daily basis and assigns a rating based on the types of furniture used and where they are positioned in a given room. While these home inspections are supposed to provide players with ideas toimprove the designs of their houses, one fan discovered that it does not always go as planned.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as Leilanee shared a video fromAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. The clip included a room tour by the HHA of “My Relaxing Reading Room,” designed by the Reddit user. While the camera for these tours was supposed to highlight all the best aspects of interior design in a home, this one got a little distracted by a brick wall.

The video started with the camera focusing on a mainly empty corner of the room, a rather unusual way to start a room tour. However, the camera work by the HHA only got weirder. After a somewhat normal shot of a villager walking around a partitioned wall, the camera returned to focus on a brick wall. This was followed by an overhead angle that was partially blocked by thepartitioned wall in the middle of the room. The odd tour concluded with several more unflattering shots of the brick walls in the house. When all was said and done, the incompetent camera work from HHA had showcased practically none of the decor in the room.

This home tour by the HHA caught the attention of numerous members oftheAnimal Crossingcommunityon Reddit. With an impressive 16.6K upvotes in only a day, many found the unusual camera work hilarious. Some commented that the HHA seemed to have a fixation on brick walls. “They really like that brick wall huh, “ one person joked. In addition, others pointed out that this video proved that partition walls should become transparent at certain angles in camera mode.

It is interesting to see videos from players showing these unintended yet hilarious moments inAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. Besides this unglamorous house tour by the HHA, many other fans have been showing off their custom rooms. For example, one player recently made aroom based onMinecraft. As players continue to play the game, it will be interesting to see what other creations are shared with theAnimal Crossingcommunity in the coming weeks.
