TheElden RingDLCShadow of the Erdtreeintroduces a huge number of new armaments for players to try out,introducing playstyles never before seenin a FromSoftware game. Of the eight new weapon categories introduced in the DLC, Perfume Bottles are perhaps the most unique, as they don’t use a traditional weapon type, encouraging completely new ways of engaging in combat.
There are a total of five Perfume BottlesShadow of the Erdtreeplayers can collect in the DLC – the Chilling, Deadly Poison, Firespark, Frenzyflame, and Lightning bottles. Each deals different damage types, and some can even build special status effects. This guide explains what makeseach new Perfume Bottle special, as well as how to get all Perfume Bottles in the DLC.

Kick
The Chilling Perfume Bottle is one of the bestShadow of the ErdtreePerfume Bottles because it procs the Frostbite effect. The Frostbite effect is essentially like Bleed that grants a debuff that increases damage taken by the target by 20%, but Frostbite cannot be triggered quite as often as Bleed.
A target cannot be Frostbitten more than once every 30 seconds or so, as the effect cannot be applied while it’s still active. However, you may remove this debuff (and its reduced damage negation) with Fire damage to be able to re-trigger the initial burst of damage. Swap out your Chilling Perfume Bottle with one of the two Fire Perfume Bottles after proccing Frostbite to quickly remove the debuff and trigger the effect again faster.
How To Get Chilling Perfume Bottle
TheChilling Perfume Bottle locationis in the Lamenter’s Gaol, a dungeon located in the far northwest of Charo’s Hidden Grave. Once inside, find the Upper Gaol Key and descend down the ladder previously blocked by the locked Upper Gaol door. The Chilling Perfume Bottle can be found in a room near a bunch of Jar Innard enemies down this ladder.

Deadly Poison Spray
The Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle is unique in two ways: it deals Physical damage, and it does not come with the default Kick Ash of War. Instead, the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle comes with the Deadly Poison Spray skill, a unique skill that lets the player douse the nearby area in Deadly Poison.
Deadly Poison is different from normal Poison because it deals more damage over a shorter amount of time. Only a few abilities in the game can trigger this enhanced version of Poison, and the Physical damage of this Perfume Bottle makes it one to try out.
How To Get Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle
TheDeadly Poison Perfume Bottle locationis early in the DLC. Find Thiollier south of Castle Ensis, near a Miquella’s Cross above a chasm. Buy the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle from him for 3000 Runes.

The Firespark Perfume Bottle seems uninteresting at first, as it simply deals Fire damage to enemies, which is one of the main resistances many major bosses have in the DLC. However, it also exclusively scaled with Dexterity, making it a fine (and light) backup weapon for Dexterity builds.
When used in conjunction with a weapon that can proc Frostbite, the Firespark Perfume Bottle becomes significantly more useful. Fire damage negates the Frostbite effect, letting you trigger the initial damage burst of Frostbite again without waiting for it to drop off of your target.
How To Get Firespark Perfume Bottle
TheFirespark Perfume Bottle locationis in the camp of Messmer’s soldiers that are stationed right after the bridge leading to Castle Ensis from the Gravesite Plain. Turn immediately right after exiting the bridge and look for it in a chest inside of one of the tents.

The Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle is like the Firespark Perfume Bottle in that both deal Fire damage with normal and heavy attacks. What sets this one apart, and arguably makes it a strict upgrade over the Firespark, is that it also builds Madness in enemies.
Most non-humanoid NPCs are immune to Madness, but it’s still a nice bonus when it does trigger. The downside is that it scales off of four different stats, and will likely only be useful for builds centered on Frenzied Flame spells and weapons already.
How To Get Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle
TheFrenzyflame Perfume Bottlelocation is deep in the Abyssal Woods, in the Abandoned Church. Head to the back of the church and turn the corner to find a body with the Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle on them.

Arguably the best all-rounder Perfume Bottle, the Lightning Perfume Bottle of course deals Lightning damage. It does not proc any special effects like the Frenzyflame or Chilling Perfume Bottles, but Lightning damage is typically quite useful against a huge variety of enemies – it’s one of the most common weaknesses, and very few enemies are immune to the damage type.
For a time, the Lightning Perfume Bottle was one of the most broken builds in the DLC. After some nerfs and bug fixes, it’s back to just being a good all-around choice for your Perfume Bottle. If you don’t want to trigger special effects, use the Lightning Perfume Bottle for its generally heightened damage against most enemies.
How To Get Lightning Perfume Bottle
TheLightning Perfume Bottle locationis relatively close to the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace. From this site of grace, ride northeast until you see a Lightning Sheep on a small body of water. The Lightning Perfume Bottle can be found on a body near this sheep.
